Google, NASA and the non-profit Universities Space Research Association have teamed up to install a D-Wave Two, the latest quantum computer model, in a facility launched by the collaboration — the Quantum Artificial Intelligence Lab.
While Google plans to use it in improving search, especially for images, but also hopes to make leaps and bounds in improving machine learning AND artificial intelligence. While NASA intends to use the machine to optimize its search for planets, especially Earth-like ones, outside of our solar system.....
